A pit and a pendulum.

Using a borrowed fancy laptop, a couple of news stories for you:

  • The Klan hates homosexuals? Never! Apparently the Klan in Texas is planning a rally in support of an upcoming anti-gay marriage amendment. I'm shocked...really. There is, however, the following quote, coming from a minister in Texas:

"[Pastor Ryan] Rush said that a group that would come in that is characterized as hateful and bigoted is not welcome in this city."

Huh. Maybe you shouldn't be supporting a hateful, bigoted amendment. Just a guess.

  • ConocoPhillips Oil profits up 89%. Hrm. I'm proud to say I live in a country where the businesses that exist here don't take advantage of a situation that they indirectly helped to cause (degree of indirectness open to interpretation, of course). Oh, wait.

  • Oddly enough, both of these stories came to me when I was reading the Drudge Report. What's next--loving profiles of Eugene Debs on Ann Coulter's website?

    More another time.
